6.5% of citizens unemployed in Sacramento County in 2021

Sacramento County recorded an unemployment rate of 6.5% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 51,448 people out of the 1,571,767 living in Sacramento County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Sacramento County has increased compared to the 6.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Sacramento County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 6.5%.

Of the 734,460 people who had a job during that time, 1,672 were employed in the Armed Forces and 732,788 belonged to the civilian labor force.
